My name is ISAAC,I’m 28 years old,I’m a Cameroonian.After my secondary Education my parents wanted me to become an Accountant,after two years of studies at the university,I decided to to pursue my passion: Culinary arts.
In 2010 I got enrolled into a Hospitality institution in Douala,after two years I obtained my Diploma and later got my first job at Yves Krol’s ZIGO’S RESTAU.I later moved to Buea where I worked in a 3 star hotel. I later visited Nigeria,where I met up with young chefs like me to share our experiences and ideas about the continent’s rich and diversified cuisine.I got to Dubai in 2014, where I worked at Ill Cafe Di Roma for some few months.These encounters always helped me to remain close to my roots and always love African Gastronomy. But what really built my love for the Arts stronger is my encounter with chefs,Yves Krol,Alex Nguimbos and Dieuveil Malonga.
Cooking has to be fun,rich and colorful.African gastronomy is very vast,thus needs exposure.We need to create platforms to educate,and why not Invite chefs from different continents to share with them what African has got to offer, culinary wise.
