My name is Loroo Edwin, I come from the maasai community and my journey started when I was in form 2, during that time I dropped out of school because of war between different community. I lost both my parents and I was so stressed during those days because we became so poor. One day one of my friends gave me an idea about how I can move forward in my life. His name is Komorai , a maasai too. I then joined the ashnell luxury camp around our home area at samburu national reserve. I started my training well and was so strong and determined to achieve what I want in life, and it was a one year non paid internship. After that I was dropped out of job because the hotel was not doing well. Being in a situation where I am the bread winner, everyone was looking up to me to survive.
Fortunately I got another job at construction site of new hotel where I am currently working ,and I got job as a security guard almost one year,I tried my level best to show my skills and there was a time when the main chef got sick and no one in the kitchen knew pastry well and I volunteered and I had the opportunity to show my skills. I did not go to school, but I have a huge passion for cooking.
