TEA IN KENYA

TEA IN KENYA

Just a drive from the heart of Nairobi,Kiambethu Farm at Limuru provides a tranquil insight into life on a settlers farm. Situated at 7,200 ft, Kiambethu is one of Kenya’s  biggest tea exporters. The farm is filled with acres of tea and indigenous forest – home to the Colobus monkey and plenty of other wildlife.

Upon arrival,Chef Dieuveil Malonga was  welcomed with a freshly brewed hot tea harvested from the farm  and homemade biscuits, and they thanked him for his visit followed by an exciting and eventful tour through acres of tea plantation.

We had an extensive tour of the farm, interacted with the local farmers, learned about the different types of home grown tea, packaging, helped in harvesting and captured beautiful moments.
