My name is Montcho Laurent, I’m 26 years old, I was born in Cameroon of a Beninoise nationality.I grew up with the husband of my aunt ,after my secondary studies, I got enrolled in a hotel training center “CFH” Bali Douala, after 1 year of training I did my national exams and passed in flying colors. In 2011 I completed my internships at Le touristique hotel Douala and hotel Seme in Limbe. I got my first job in 2012 in the Gourmet restaurant in Bonanjo as kitchen porter, then food pantry. In 2013 I had the opportunity to work at the home of the delegate of the Government of Douala for 8 months, then I worked for 6 months at Serena Hotel Bali. In 2014 I started work at Akwa palace, a 4 star hotel as a demi chef de partie for 2 years. I also worked at Kemal Hotel Makepe, The Address Bar, and N’ice cream where I work currently as head chef.
My inspiration comes from Chef Hermann, who is my father, chef Cherif, Chef Rigari, Chef Lapo chef Ethebe Rigari , Chef Mathias and Chief Yotti. I love what I do especially as a gastronomy chef.
Africa has a huge talent, and my goal is to enhance our culinary culture to the world. My dream is to open my own restaurant in the future.
