Chef Akeema McNish one of St Mary’s youngest culinary stars. Born and grown in Geddes Town St Mary attended Free Hill Primary and Infant School where he currently indulges in different personal charities towards the young aspiring students. Proud 2010 graduate of one of St Mary’s best traditional high schools; St Mary High where his love for food first began to blossom. He started his culinary journey at St Monicas College in Pineapple Ocho Rios St Ann, where he finished top of his class, with the highest food scores. Went on to be a cook at Beaches Ocho Rios, where he graduated their hotel training program as valedictorian. Then moved on to Sunset Jamaica Grande Resort and Spa where he further increased his culinary knowledge. Shortly after he moved on to Couples Sans Souci where his passion for cooking as well as his culinary knowledge increased exponentially working with countless talented chefs under the umbrella of the famous Chef now General manager Pierre Bataglia, Chef Stefan Spoth and George Beswick. Went on to be one of Sans Souci’s yougest celebrity chefs making it into their magazine as well as representing them in various competitions such at the Taste of Jamaica Competition where he won the Jr Chef of the Year award for 2014. Started training with the Jamaica’s National Team as their Jr Chef but then moved on to Joining the Canoe Cove Jamaica brand where he currently creates tantalizing dishes for all his Jamaica loving guests.
